Accounting

Credit: 1.0      Grade: 10-12     Prerequisite: None

Accounting is open to students in grades 10-12 who wish to learn how to plan, keep, summarize, and interpret financial records of a business--large or small, one owner or many owners. In our private enterprise economy, businesses must earn a profit if they  are to continue to operate. Sound accounting records help businesses operate efficiently--and profitably--by keeping track of how much is earned and how much is spent. It is a course that is highly recommended for anyone planning to major in business at the post-secondary level, own their own business, or work in an office setting after graduation from high school. It is also recommended for anyone who wishes to gain a broader and better understanding of our economic world. This course will also infuse computerized accounting activities. Materials fee.
