Brief History... 

Winners of the coveted Melvin Jones award were Lion Arne Dufseth and Lion Ron Wenzel. These plaques were awarded at the Mid-Winter convention as was done in the past. Peace Poster Contest was a tremendous success, two of the four first-place winners were merit winners at the Mid-Winter convention. Club received first place for the newsletter at the Mid-Winter convention. Club to host the Wagon Train for Camp Winnebago as it passes through Winona. The club received support from the Winona Lioness club in this endeavor. International dues increased by $5.00. This year after the broom drive,
we were treated to our first homemade bread and ham dinner at the Kreidermacher’s. Lion Jim Kreidermacher’s wife, Rose, was responsible for the bread. This has become an annual event. Lion of the Year was Lion Tom Hirsch.
